REPORT OF CAMPUS OUTREACH – Maiden Edition

The maiden edition of the Campus Outreach of Love Revival Ministries, Sokoto which is a specific mandate from God to take the gospel of the Kingdom to campuses and raise a new generation of leaders.

Venue: Multipurpose Hall, Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto (Permanent Site).
Date: 21st – 22nd April, 2012

The meeting was held in partnership with the University Christian Chapel.
A six man team went in company of Pastors Courage and Bibi Ode on the first day of the meeting.

Highlights of the meeting
Pastor (Mrs) Bibi Ode was invited to lead a worship session which should usher in the ministration of the sent man (Pastor Courage Ode). This session was indeed a springboard to set the stage for the word delivery as the participation and expectation of the audience was expressed through hearty worship experience.

After about twenty minutes of worship, Pastor Courage Ode came up for the word ministration which was received with great enthusiasm. The man of God emphasized the mandate of the meeting and how he had received from God the commission to take the word round campuses starting from Sokoto which is the base of the ministry.

Pastor Courage called the message “A Prophetic Alarm” for youths to turn the tide in their days and take responsibility.

Word Excerpts
The message focused basically on the foundational texts of Ezekiel 22:30-31 and 2 Chronicles 34:1-33.

- God is helpless in human affairs without a man
- There is a type of man with a kind of mentality and heart He is seeking for
- God and man cannot walk together except there is agreement in mentality and thought  pattern
- The scope of God’s thought is global, generational and it’s about nations
- You are not too young to sit on your throne
- The possibility of our reign as king starts by thinking and praying it
- An analogy of the characters in the bible was tabularized
David
Josiah
They represent fathers
These are children
The past or passing generation
The present or new generation
They represent foundation
They are the building
- The children must recognize, honour, acknowledge and celebrate the fathers as
no building can stand without a foundation
- The longevity of the building is in the strength of the foundation while the beauty is in the building
- The past should be the take off point for the children and not their peak
- Every generation has a dual responsibility to build on the foundation of the past and to lay a foundation for the upcoming ones
- It must be a testimony of greater works as even the best record can always be overcome with new strategies
- The works of the fathers should be a booster to attain our heights as a generation
- The youthful phase is the time to seek God and to know the God we have. Impact begins only when we begin to seek the Lord
- The manifestations of God in our days must be upgraded

The second day of the meeting which was on Sunday, 22nd April had in attendance a five man team together with Pastor Courage Ode. The meeting had already started with music ministrations before the Love Revival Ministries’ team arrived. However, on arrival, Pastor Courage Ode was introduced and cheerfully welcomed to the platform for the word ministration.

The ministration was a continuation from the previous day based on the principal bible texts.

Word Excerpts
This generation must have encounters to match and overcome the opposition of the day
- We cannot afford to be ignorant of the bible as the word is our weapon to reign
- A genuine heart cry for God is necessary and as such, cannot be despised or denied
- We are beginning to see  what we can as our fathers did not get it all
- The bible addresses every aspect of our life , hence the word must be enthroned in its place
- As kings and priests we can both seek and likewise interpret the revelations of God
- It’s time to think, talk, pray and behave like king
- A time to get back to the source with the appropriate attitude and response

Pastor Courage gave a seven quick summary of the whole message as:
1. We are not bastards neither are we a people without a history
2. We cannot afford to be ignorant of our history
3. We must recognize and celebrate our history and fathers while we still acknowledge that they are simply foundations
4. We must be genuine, addicted seekers of God because there is more of God to know
5. We must have the right attitude towards the outcomes of our revelations and encounters while seeking the Lord
6. We must have a kingdom heart and mentality
7. We must not be content being blessed but rather to be a blessing

The end of the meeting was marked with good patronage of our ministry’s material sales stand where books, CDs of previous messages were sold.
