PROPHETIC UPDATES

If I shut up heaven that there be no rain, or if I command the locusts to devour the land, or if I send pestilence among my people; (2nd Chronicles 7:13).

This was God replying Solomon directly. We have likened COVID before to a plague, pestilence, darkness. Plagues are not stopped by decrees. God was the one who sent plagues to Egypt. Plagues can only be stopped by repentance and adherence to God’s instruction for the hour and season. It doesn’t matter who you are, if you disobey God’s instruction, you become a victim of the plague.

We have also said before that the state of our land and our day is tied to the state of the Church. What we are experiencing now is a plague, it is darkness. There is a shaking going on, and God is shaking everything that is not of him. Anything that is not of God will go. Only those things that are of God will remain. God is saying we need total consecration to him. We are already talking about a second wave of COVID, and God is saying to the Church globally that what we need is a total consecration to him. This has nothing to do with portfolio or title. From our thoughts to our actions, anyone who is not totally consecrated to the Lord will be swept off.

God is not unfaithful. We cannot with corrupt hands, participate in corrupt acts and a new NIGERIA will emerge. God has said, let every one that is named by the name of the Lord depart from iniquity. The way out of where we are now is total consecration to the Lord. There is no sentiment about this. It has no regard for title or portfolio.

Lets not take the longsuffering of God for weakness. Neither should we take the mercies of God for granted. Every lifestyle, every thought pattern, every structure that is not of God, will not survive what God wants to do. If we are going to see the true God we must be a people who are totally yielded to God. Our true commitment to God should show in our true commitment to God’s word. The remaining days of 2020 is a window for every one of us to make amends. Let’s not take the mercies of God for granted.

The coming days will be more uncertain, the coming days will be more difficult, but for the righteous, it will be a different story. Except with total consecration, the light cannot shine. We all must measure up to God’s STANDARD from the Home to the Workplace and to the Church. If we do not learn our lessons now what we faced in 2020 will be worse in 2021.

The church must take a stand for God. The pulpit is not for politics or show. We must master how to take God to the world. We should take interest in what God has an interest in. In God's interest is our interest. If our thought and actions do not give glory to God, we lose!

                             CROSSOVER SERVICE

Rev 4:9-10, 5:13, 19:6. We should be grateful to God, that we are alive and here today. It's by the Lord's mercies we were not consumed, and we should not take it for granted.

My questions tonight:

1. How were we created? (By words)

2. How was the World formed? (By words)

3. How do we transact? (By words)

4. What did God leave with us? (His Word).

We are in a WORD war, and we transact by words. Lucifer wanted to overthrow God and it was by Words.  God stopped him by words. A man is blessed or cursed by words. We cannot deny that Satan exist because God told us about him in His words. We live and transact by words. Wars start by words. The only currency that God respects and honours is FAITH. 2 Corinthians 5:7 says, for we walk by faith, not by sight. Hebrews 11: 6 tells us that without faith it is impossible to please God. Romans 14:23b tell us that whatever is not of faith is sin. God told us in Habakkuk 2:4 that the just shall live by faith. We can only please and live for God by Faith. But it is important we know that faith only comes by WORDS, by hearing the word of God.  There is no faith without the word of God. In other words, we were made by words, we live by words, are sustained by words and we war by words: we are products of words. No wonder all of the letters that God wrote to the Churches in the book of Revelations ended with this same statement ”to him that has ears hears, let them hear what the Spirit is saying to the Churches.”  It is not enough to hear but who are we hearing? And what are we hearing? This forms and determines our experiences. This is because at the end of the day what is most important is the outcome of our lives. In Mark 4:24 Jesus said we should take heed, (be careful, give attention to etc) what we hear because we are a product of what we are hearing.

As we journey on in 2021, take heed what you are hearing. In Luke 8:18 - Jesus said, be careful how you hear. There is a difference between this and Mark 4:24. We must be sure that what we are hearing is correct and also how we hear.  This is so important because the outcome of our lives is a product of what we are hearing.

Everything is out there for us, so many things calling for our attention, but it is a choice. We can either fill ourselves with nonsense or be shut up with God in His words. It is a choice! There will be all kinds of struggles in our lives until we begin to hear God. It will get worse in the coming year. In Proverbs 4:20 God is saying to us to give attention to His words, it simply means that there is the possibility for us to give our attention to other words. God also says in verse 21 of Proverbs 4 to “incline our ears” God is saying to us to give attention to His words in the midst of several words. So many words are contending for our attention, and who has our attention has us. If our eyes and ears are not given to God’s words, there is no way it will be in our heart.

In the coming days, there will be more and more things calling for our attention. Anybody that will find life must give attention to God’s words. We give attention to God’s words by keeping our eyes fixed on God’s Words and our ears inclined to God’s words. God is saying here that life is found. We cannot be feeding on junks and want to have a healthy life. It is a choice to go to social media to spread God’s word or go there to spread rumours. If there is anyone thing we must do in 2021, it is to pay attention to God’s word in the minutest details. As we match into 2021, we must ask ourselves, what are the specific instructions given to us by God that are still hanging over our lives. These are not ordinary days so we must NOT make ourselves a dumping site for just any information or news. If we are going to find life and health in the coming days, thus says the Lord: give attention to my words.

The battle is getting fiercer and fiercer, and we are getting to the finishing line. Those that will survive these times are those that have built capacity through the word of God. We can be in Church but yet, not giving attention to the word of God. Where God found us is not the matter right now but our willingness to journey on with God. All that God has for us is His word. As we journey on in 2021, let's be deliberate in giving attention to the word of God. If there is a new year before us, then we need a new consecration to the word of God

PRAYER

1. LORD I give attention to the word

2. Hebrews 12:28 – As I match into 2021, I receive grace to serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear

3. Psalm 40:8 – As I journey on in 2021, I commit to doing your Will Lord.

4. Psalm 20:21 – 2021 - I come and I enter in the name of the Lord.

5. Romans 8:8, 14 – 2021 I enter under the influence, government, and leadership of the Holy Ghost

6. 2021 I enter by the high way, the way of Holiness.

7. 2Corinthians 4:13 – I enter 2021 in God

8. Psa 100:4 - I enter 2021 in Thanksgiving to God

9. Psa 24:7 - 2021 open your gates to the king of Glory

10. Genesis 2:3 – we command every day of 2021 blessed and set apart for the glory of God

THE GOVERNMENT OF THE HOLY GHOST

“…To those who have obtained like precious faith with us by the righteousness of our God and Savior Jesus Christ: Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord, as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue” 2 Pt.1:2-3

It is only in Christ we are complete. The call of God is a call to glory and virtue in Christ Jesus, and not to shame and reproach. All that pertains to life and godliness is assessed through the knowledge of Him.
"So you shall serve the LORD your God, and He will bless your bread and your water. And I will take sickness away from the midst of you”. Ex. 23:25

Serve the Lord - this is our assignment. The rest is up to God.  Often, the things He (God) has promised to do are the things we are struggling to do ourselves. The truth is, it's in the reverse order, we are meant to serve the Lord our God and He will bless us, He will take sickness and diseases away from us. We are in terrible and hard times. If we are going to be saved, secured and provided for, we have to serve the Lord our God. When you are at the service of someone, he/she has your attention; you are at the beck and call of that person. To serve the Lord means total surrender to God.

This is what we need to do! To escape the evil of these times; we have to serve the Lord. Worry and fear will not solve this matter. If you are worried or afraid, it is the choice you made but it is God’s responsibility to come to our aid if only we will obey and serve Him. Job 36: 11-12.
Life is a choice and you have the liberty to make a choice as to what you will believe. These choices come to bear in our everyday decision making. We should stop giving satan the attention and position he doesn’t deserve. Every time Jesus is not being magnified, error has crept in, the source is satan. Jesus alone should be magnified, not any man.
There is the Book of Life and a Book of Remembrance. When you have this understanding, you would not just do what you like. The book of remembrance is for those who fear the Lord; and meditate upon His name. Malachi 3:16

There is a terrible shaking taking place, but those that serve the Lord God, will not be shaken off in the midst of the shaking. We must be sons, sons who serve their Father. God promises to save His sons who serve Him. This is the responsibility of God-this is what He will do for those who serve Him- Mal. 3:16, Heb. 12:28-29.
As long as you align with God, you will not be shaken off. “The horse is prepared for the day of battle, But deliverance is of the LORD”-Prov. 21:31 NKJV.

Life is spiritual and everything we see in the physical has spiritual origins. What makes us inexcusable is that God has equipped, empowered and enabled us. Outside Christ, men cannot follow God wholly but in Christ we can. By grace, we can. Heb 12:28. Everything has a spiritual connotation-faith has a spirit, grace has a spirit and fear also has a spirit. God needs faith to work, satan needs fear to work. You must connect to the spirit of what you want to experience.  “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind”. 2 Tim. 1:7. The spirit of faith speaks. 2nd Corinthians 4:13.
Whatever spirit you yield to is the spirit that will be at work in your life. We cannot serve God in our own strength, it is by His grace and grace is a spirit. The fact that you are panicky and are afraid is a sign that you do not trust God. It is those who know their God that will be strong and do exploits but those who are fearful will be weak and exploited.

The sons of God operate like God, they assess the mind of God and bring it to bear on the earth, and they also function on the earth like God. Everything that God will do or has done will be by His Spirit. As children of God, we are to be led by the Spirit of God. Romans 8:1-2,11,14,18. Sadly, this is not the case with many of God’s children! To be led by the Spirit means to come under the government of the Holy Spirit; it brings you to the place of sonship. In other words, to function as a son, you have to come under the leadership of the Holy Spirit; you have to come into oneness with God.

The greatest tool satan is using against us in our day is our feelings and experiences. A man that is under the government of the Holy Ghost is not led by his feelings. Anytime your feelings and experiences make you act contrary to God’s word and dictates, what you are doing by that action is saying that experience is greater and bigger than God. Find out God’s will and not what you like. The glory will come when men and women make up their minds to come under the government of the Holy Spirit

The creations are earnestly waiting for the manifestation of the sons of God. The sons of God are those who are led by the Spirit of God. This is what we need in these times; this is the solution we need.
The day you gave your life to Christ, you died with Him. Thus, it is no longer what you like, but what He wants you to do and what He likes. Gal. 2:20.

In these times of spiritual and physical attacks, life in the Spirit is our only guarantee and life in the Spirit is a life of faith, a life of hope and a life of love. Every other way will lead to disaster; the only way is through Jesus and He is the only Way. Where the Spirit of the Lord is given liberty, there is liberty. This liberty is simply to do what God wants and to live the way He wants us to live. The Lord is our Shepherd; He will lead us the way He wants.-2 Cor. 3:17, Psalm 23:1-6.

The most important person we need right now is the Holy Ghost. We do not have a life of our own.

WHY THANK GOD?

A man who lives a lifestyle of thanksgiving will definitely have more victory than a man who is constantly binding the devil. An atmosphere of thanksgiving is an unconducive atmosphere for satan to operate. It is who we keep calling that we will keep seeing. You cannot thank God beyond the revelation of God that you have.

It is an insult to tie thanking God to a thing. It is a lower level to thank God just based on what He has done or will do. However, you ought to thank God for those, and even if He does not do anything, or meet your expectations, you still need to thank Him. God is too big to be tied to an event/experience. Acknowledge Him for everything that happens in your life.

Make up our mind to thank God, start now, don’t wait for a time in the future. Whether you thank Him or not, He remains God. When we begin to embrace the higher reasons for thanking Him, then we can also begin to assess the higher dimensions. It is the God you have seen that you will experience.

"And now, O priests, this commandment is for you. If you will not hear, And if you will not take it to heart, To give glory to My name, says the LORD of hosts, I will send a curse upon you, And I will curse your blessings. Yes, I have cursed them already, because you do not take it to heart. Behold, I will rebuke your descendants And spread refuse on your faces, The refuse of your solemn feasts; and one will take you away with it”. (Mal. 2:1-3)

In context, God was speaking to the Levites, the children of Israel, but it is applicable to us. If the blessings of God in our lives will not become a curse, we need to give Him thanks. Thanksgiving may climax in an event but it is a lifestyle we must cultivate. Something doesn’t have to happen before we give God thanks.

Thanking God is not optional, it is mandatory.

Jer. 9:23- 24. God is not just concerned that you give Him thanks/glory.

The reason for thanking God is important to Him.

The weightier the reason, the more the glory.

We enter into God’s presence, with singing and into His gates with thanksgiving. Psalms 100:2, 4.

REASONS WHY WE SHOULD THANK GOD

1) There is God and for who He is. He is just, perfect, faithful and true, the unchanging changer...

2) For what He has done. What has He done? We thank Him for sending Jesus, for the sacrifice done on the cross. What Jesus did has given us the privilege of having God as our Father and free access to Him. Heb. 4:15-16, Titus 2:11.

3) We thank God for what He is doing. In spite of what is going on in and around us. He gives us light in the midst of the darkness. He is purifying us. All that we are and will ever be is by the grace and mercy of God. Phil.2:13, Ps. 46:1

4) We thank Him for what He will do. Our ultimate salvation, everything is not ending here. We have hope, and it is not in vain. There is a hope for a new heaven and a new earth. We thank Him because we know He has not failed and will never fail. The sufferings of this present time are nothing compared to the glory that will be revealed.

5) We thank God because you and I are partakers of all these. Thank Him because you are saved. As long as you are saved, you have every reason to thank the Lord. Be thankful because you are saved, rescued from eternal condemnation. Ps. 103:1-3, Col.1:9-10, 12, Eph. 1:3-5. It doesn’t matter what you have, if you are not saved, you are doomed. If you have Him, you have all.

FOUR BASIC INGREDIENTS REQUIRED FOR THANKING GOD

1) Your heart. 1 Sam 6:6, Prov. 17:3. God never reckons with what doesn’t stem from the heart.

2) Singing and dancing. Ps. 100:1-4, 147:7, Heb. 13:15-thanksgiving is uttered, it is the fruit of our lips giving thanks to God. Kings must know how to conduct themselves, every king must know how to dance. Knowing how to dance before God as a king is important to God. There was no king in Israel like David; he knew how to Praise, sing and to dance before the Lord. 2 Sam. 6:16-17.

3) Your substance-your money. Any heart that is truly thanking God will give to God. What you bring before God goes to show how grateful you really are. What you give matters. God desires spirit-led generosity. You plan to give God thanks. It is not thanksgiving when you are being told to do it. It must be willful. There is a shift going on right now. Prov. 13:22, 1 Chron. 16:9. God is looking for and recruiting men for these last days.

4) A life of obedience to the word of God. One of the ways we tell God thank You is by our lifestyle. One of the ways you tell God thank You is by how you handle the job He gave you. A life of immorality and compromise is a life of ingratitude to God. Every time you align with the principle of God’s word, you let God know you are grateful. Lack of contentment is a sign of ingratitude to God. Being a believer and living a life of compromise is being ungrateful.

To show God, you are truly grateful, you will make fresh and new consecration to Him. 2 Cor. 6: 6.

We have been called to honour, but there’s responsibility involved. 1 Pet. 2:9-12. We must live the kind of life that befits the honour to which we have been called.
