Ephesians 5: 8 -20
Ephesians 5 is re-emphasizing some of the things we have been talking about. We must take the initiative for re-enforcement. God will empower us as we yield to his call. If you draw near to Him, He will draw near to you. The responsibility is not on God or Satan, but it is on us. The height of deception is never to take responsibility. You can be in the light and not be walking in the light.
We Must deliberately wake up so that Christ can give us light.
We have to redeem the time because time is life.
TIME IS LIFE
The unit for measuring life is time.
We are either wise or foolish. And we know who is redeeming the time by what is done with time. Redeeming the time starts from our inside. The outcome of your life begins with your thoughts. It is who has your time that has your life.
- Light comes as you redeem the time.
- You cannot redeem the time if you do not know the will of God.
We cannot redeem the time for one another. If the days will not waste, and if we will not continue in our struggles, we MUST know the will of God for us to be able to redeem the time.
- The will of God should not just be known; it MUST be understood.
- This understanding only comes from the Spirit of God.
Understanding comes to those whom the Spirit has taken possession of i.e those that are filled or drunk with the Spirit, those under the CONTROL of the Holy Ghost. If our understanding is not of the Holy Ghost, it will make us more and more foolish rather than wise.
We must STOP looking for anything natural to intoxicate us, it will only destroy us. But we are to be FILLED with THE HOLY GHOST. This is the order, for anyone who wants to matter now or manifest the glory of God in these last days.
-The HOW to working all this out is SPEAKING. For every matter of the kingdom, we do by saying. Staying full of the Holy Ghost starts with speaking. and it ends with the heart. There's a heart /mouth connection.
"And be not drunk with wine wherein is excess: but be filled with the Spirit; speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord" (Ephesians 5: 18-19)
WE MUST CREATE THE RIGHT ATMOSPHERE BY SPEAKING IN ORDER FOR HEAVEN TO GIVE US RE-ENFORCEMENT
For us to be filled with the Holy Ghost, and stay full we must stay in the place of thanksgiving, making melody in our hearts by singing psalms and hymns.
The natural way we ought to operate as the church has been lost. We have been trained and wired to function differently, to use God instead of serving him. So whenever we hear about fasting it is always for what we want to get personally or when there is a problem. But the early Church served God with fasting. ( Acts 13:1-3) No wonder they were so accurate that they couldn’t be stopped.
We MUST create an atmosphere of constantly being filled with the Holy Ghost. We need to spend more time with God. We need to give more attention to God, and we cannot be talking about attention without time. You will spend time with anyone you truly love. God is eager to do some unimaginable things through us, but we MUST create the right atmosphere for Him to function through us.
WE NEED TO GIVE GOD THE RIGHT OF WAY BY CREATING THE RIGHT ATMOSPHERE FOR HIM TO DO WHAT HE WANTS TO DO
