The wise man saith, “Where the word of a king is, there is power.” (Eccl.8:4) What power is there where there is the word of the King of kings who rules over all!
The degree to which we can give God attention in our day and time is the degree to which we will experience Him. God’s singular need right now is that we give Him our undivided attention. We are not going to see God beyond the extent we give Him attention. These times are too dangerous for us to just waste away like that. It is expedient in these times that we give God our undivided attention. God is calling for the attention of humanity.
“And it shall come to pass in the last days, says God, That I will pour out of My Spirit on all flesh; Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, Your young men shall see visions, Your old men shall dream dreams. And on My menservants and on My maidservants I will pour out My Spirit in those days; And they shall prophesy. I will show wonders in heaven above And signs in the earth beneath: Blood and fire and vapor of smoke. The sun shall be turned into darkness, And the moon into blood, Before the coming of the great and awesome day of the LORD. And it shall come to pass That whoever calls on the name of the LORD Shall be saved”. Acts 2:17-21
The two-fold application is that all will begin to call on the name of the Lord. As we see the course of events in the world and around us, it should push us closer to God. God has one singular goal and that is, man should look unto Him. The other side is that, satan has one singular goal, to wear us out, to come to that place where we become weary and take our attention off God. Refuse to give in to satan’s wiles, stand your ground and endure to the end.
Walking by faith is not telling
lies. Abraham didn’t go about saying he was not old. He simply believed in
God’s word and acted on it. There are terrible things happening in Nigeria but
it’s not peculiar to Nigeria alone. What should be our response in these times?
God is a Man Of War, He has never lost any battle and will never lose any
battle. Nigeria is not a write off.
Two things
we need to remind ourselves about
The devil wants to do everything to wear us out, and take us off course, to deceive and distract, but we must stand our ground. We must not lose focus of the real fight. Keep faith, there's no temptation that is not common. The same situation can either be a test or a temptation. When you pass the test, you come to a new level.
Corruption, immorality, terrorist... are all forms of darkness. Darkness shall cover the earth and gross darkness the people.
“Arise, shine; For your light has come! And the glory of the LORD is risen upon you. For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, And deep darkness the people; But the LORD will arise over you, And His glory will be seen upon you. The Gentiles shall come to your light, And kings to the brightness of your rising”. Isaiah 60:1-3
This should be our focus now. We must desire that our light will be so bright that people will be drawn to it.
How shall
this be?
“In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was without form, and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters. Then God said, "Let there be light"; and there was light”. Gen. 1:1-3
God didn’t spend time analyzing the darkness or give attention to it. We must not give attention to it. We must not allow fear to cripple us. FEAR is a spirit, FAITH is a spirit. We must guard our heart because it is only what is stored in there that will proceed out of it. We are a people led by the Spirit. We must conquer fear and not give in to it.
The source of light is God and God is light.
More than ever before, we need to give ourselves to praying in tongues like never before.
The only thing that can match this darkness is LIGHT and one way to get this light is by engaging in the Spirit and His WORD is the LIGHT. The LIGHT comes to bear by speaking it forth-the light shines in darkness and darkness cannot comprehend it.
“The entrance of Your words gives light; It gives understanding to the simple”. Psalm 119:130
The light comes as you speak the Word of God under the influence of the Spirit. Mind your thoughts and words. In fact, mind your language in these times. (See John 1:1-14)
PRAYER
Pray in the Holy Ghost
Command LIGHT into every area of Nigeria.
Concerning our day, generation and over Nigeria, the devil will not have the last say
For us to remain saved, we must stay in the ARK-we must stay in JESUS and keep the light shining. Keep declaring the Word. We must stay LIGHTED up. We must keep the LIGHT on.
Engage the Spirit, keep speaking, be guided by the Spirit.
“Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth”. 1 Tim. 2:1-4
God isn’t giving us peace so we can enjoy. We must understand this. When God gives us peace, the reason for peace is for God, it is for His purpose to be accomplished. Every time we are asking for peace, it is so that His agenda will be fulfilled.
How does this peace come? “Pray for the peace of Jerusalem (Nigeria): "May they prosper who love you. Peace be within your walls, Prosperity within your palaces”. Psalm 122:6-7. This is accomplished by prayer.
What’s the state of the person praying? “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy; meditate on these things.” Phil. 4:6-7.
Stop complaining about the nation, tell God what you want.
How to
sustain and maintain this peace?
Phil. 4:8. Stop thinking about what the darkness is doing and start thinking about the good God is doing, what He can do and wants to do.
“You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You”. Is. 26:1-3- if you are going to enjoy the peace of God in these times, your mind must be stayed on God.
The darkness will never leave the earth, neither will the crisis or the chaos till the close of the age. We must let our light shine. Our reason for seeking peace must align with His.
PRAYER
Let all those who walk in darkness, and those who walk in the shadow of death, upon them hath the light shine. Is. 9:2
Wherever men are seated in darkness plotting to destroy, kidnap, kill, let the light shine.
The news of the works of God will go around the world just as the evil of what is happening is going around the world. Is. 9:3-7. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this.
Declare: I give myself to the
way of the Spirit.
How prepared are we for His coming? We need help to prepare for His coming.
